The Baha'i House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois, is one of only a handful of continental Baha'i Houses of Worship in the world. Baha'i writings describe it as intended to be "a haven for the deepest contemplation on spiritual reality," and its architecture and gardens embody Baha'i teachings on the unity of God, religion, and humanity. The temple is open daily to visitors of all faiths for prayer, contemplation, and tours, with a Welcome Center offering exhibits on its history; admission is free.
