About

Duke University Chapel is an interdenominational Christian chapel at the center of Duke University's campus in Durham, North Carolina, constructed 1930-1932 and designed in the English Gothic style. The Duke family that founded and endowed the university was Methodist, but the chapel itself has never been denominationally affiliated and holds ecumenical services open to all Christian traditions. It is home to The Congregation at Duke University Chapel, an interdenominational church community, and its 210-foot tower is a landmark of the Duke campus.
