The Foursquare Church, formally the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, is a Pentecostal Christian denomination founded by evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson in 1923 in Los Angeles. It is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, and oversees churches and missions in the United States and more than 140 other countries. The denomination's theology centers on Jesus Christ as Savior, Baptizer, Healer, and Soon-Coming King.
