The Hindu Temple Society of North America operates the Sri Maha Vallabha Ganapati Devasthanam, popularly known as the Ganesh Temple, in Flushing, New York. Consecrated in 1977, it is widely cited as one of the oldest traditional Hindu temples in the United States and serves a broad, multi-denominational Hindu congregation.
