International Ethiopian Evangelical Church (IEEC) is an Ethiopian- and Eritrean-American congregation that has served the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for more than 40 years. Its statement of faith affirms baptism in the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues, placing it within the Pentecostal tradition. IEEC has planted branch congregations across the United States, including in Maryland, Virginia, New York, Florida, and South Carolina, and internationally in Egypt, Lebanon, Djibouti, and Ethiopia.
