The Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH), founded in 1969 by a group of Muslim students and young professionals associated with the University of Houston, is headquartered at the Eastside Main Center in Houston and describes itself as the largest Islamic community organization in the Houston area. ISGH operates a network of more than twenty affiliated Islamic centers across the metropolitan area, offering religious, educational, and social services as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
