The Rabbinical Council of America (RCA) is the main professional association of Modern Orthodox rabbis in the United States, founded in 1923 and headquartered in New York City. It represents roughly 1,000 member rabbis in 18 countries, functions as the rabbinic arm of the Orthodox Union with which it supervises kosher certification standards, and advances Orthodox Jewish practice, halakhic standards, and rabbinic professional interests.
