Shriners International is the fraternal governing body of Shrine temples across North America and beyond, founded in 1870 as an appendant body of Freemasonry open only to Master Masons. Its Tampa, Florida headquarters coordinates the fraternity's worldwide network of temples and its charitable arm, Shriners Children's, a system of pediatric specialty hospitals. The organization has been headquartered in Tampa for more than four decades.
