Tenrikyo Church Headquarters stands at the Jiba in Tenri, the spot the faith holds to be the origin of humankind. A service is held there on the twenty sixth of each month, and the surrounding city carries the church's schools, hospital and library. Tenrikyo dates its founding to Nakayama Miki in 1838.
