Alpudus is one of the twelve Zodiacal Kings of Liber Scientiae, Auxilii et Victoriae Terrestris, John Dee's tabulation of the angelic sessions he worked with Edward Kelley in 1584 and 1585. Twelve Kings, each tied to a tribe of Israel, share the ninety-one Parts of the Earth, the Enochian Governors, among them in that record. Alpudus governs the tribe of Issachar and holds eight Parts.
Alpudus's Parts include Valgars, the third Part of LIL, the first Aethyr, assigned to northern Mesopotamia; Virooli, the second Part of ZOM, the third, assigned to Thracia, Thrace; Nocamal, the second Part of LIT, the fifth, assigned to Cilicia; Comanan, the second Part of ZAX, the tenth, assigned to Germania; Docepax, completing ZIM, the thirteenth, assigned to a territory named Nemrodiana; Vivipos, the second Part of UTA, the fourteenth, assigned to Phasiana, the country of the river Phasis; Zafasai, the second Part of ZEN, the eighteenth; and Totocan, completing KHR, the twentieth, assigned to Italia, Italy.
The zodiac sign now given for Alpudus, as for every King, is a modern reconstruction over the tribe rather than a sign Dee's material assigns directly, and more than one such reconstruction circulates today. Alpudus has no connection to the seven Kings of the Heptarchia, the separate weekday system recorded in De Heptarchia Mystica from the same Dee and Kelley material.
