The Deck That Named Doreen Virtue's Own Practice

Angel Therapy Oracle Cards is a forty four card deck Doreen Virtue created for Hay House, published in 2008, its title drawn from Angel Therapy, the name Virtue used for her own counseling and healing practice built around communication with angels. Read upright only, with no reversed meanings, the deck offers guidance and messages framed as coming directly from angels, continuing the reading convention and soft painted illustration style that runs across Virtue's wider oracle catalogue from Archangel Oracle Cards in 2004 through to Saints and Angels in 2005.

Where Archangel Oracle Cards keys its guidance to a fixed set of fifteen named archangels, Angel Therapy Oracle Cards presents its forty four cards as more general angelic messages, closer in structure to the broad, unnamed angelic guidance format later angel deck creators across the genre would also adopt. Published partway through the decade in which Virtue built the bulk of her New Age catalogue, before her 2017 conversion and public renunciation of that work, the deck remains in print and in use independent of her later views on it, continuing to circulate within the wider angel oracle genre alongside decks from later creators who built on the same conventions her early catalogue helped establish.
