Seven Chakras Stretched Across Forty Nine Cards

Chakra Wisdom Oracle Cards is a forty nine card deck Tori Hartman created with artwork by Gretchen Raisch-Baskin, published by Watkins in 2014. Its organizing system keys each card to one of the body's seven chakras, a concept drawn from the Hindu and yogic energy system that describes seven main energy centers running along the body, and its associated emotional and spiritual themes, meaning several cards share the same chakra while exploring different facets of its meaning across the deck's forty nine card total.

Designed to be read either upright or reversed, the deck adapts a specific, named spiritual system, the seven chakra model, into oracle card form rather than drawing on the broad, deliberately mixed cast of figures or symbols many other oracle decks use. That narrower, single system structure is closer to Colette Baron-Reid's Oracle of the 7 Energies, which also repeats a small set of core themes across its cards, than to the wide, tradition spanning casts used in decks such as Doreen Virtue's Ascended Masters or Goddess Guidance. As a modern Western adaptation of the Hindu and yogic chakra system, Chakra Wisdom presents that system for personal reflection rather than as a reconstruction of its practice within Hindu or yogic tradition itself.
