From Advertising Director to Spiritual Author

Rebecca Campbell was born in Australia and now lives in Glastonbury, England, a town long associated with alternative spirituality. Before her writing career she worked as an award winning creative director in advertising, a career she left before turning thirty, and in her twenties she blogged about world travel under the name the Skype Nomad. She has described her interest in metaphysics as beginning with a personal experience she calls an awakening during her teenage years.

Writing for Hay House, she became an international bestselling author with titles including Light Is The New Black, Rise Sister Rise and Letters To A Starseed, alongside oracle decks such as the Work Your Light Oracle, the Rose Oracle and the Starseed Oracle, all published across eighteen languages. She co-created the Spirited Project and describes herself as a grounded intuitive and spiritual mentor working within what she calls a six sensory framework, extending the conventional five senses with an intuitive or spiritual sixth.

As with other authors in the same genre, her claims of intuitive perception are a matter of personal spiritual practice rather than external verification, and her books present that framing directly to readers as guidance rather than as demonstrated fact. Her professional background in advertising is unusual within the genre and is something she references directly in her own author biography as part of her transition into spiritual writing.
