Sensuality here means the life of the senses and the appetites, and the tradition gives it to Venus and to Taurus, which is Venus's own earth sign.
Venus is the lesser benefic, cold and moist, and its subjects are pleasure, beauty, ornament, music, scent, sweetness, affection and the desire for company. Where Jupiter's benefit is abundance, Venus's is agreeableness, and the difference matters. Venus does not make things larger, it makes them pleasant. In the body Venus is given the parts concerned with attraction and with taste, and in the temperament it supplies the disposition to be drawn toward what feels good.
Taurus carries the same material by sign. It is fixed earth, the most bodily of the twelve, and the tradition gives it the throat, the neck, the voice, and the pleasure a person takes in having and holding things. A fixed sign does not seek novelty, which is why Taurus is read for the deep enjoyment of the familiar rather than for appetite in the restless sense.
The Moon has a share in this too. It governs the body's appetite, its rhythm and its need to be fed, and where Venus supplies what is wanted, the Moon supplies the wanting. The two are the night sect's benefic and its light, and they work together here in the way the Sun and Saturn do for the father.
