Zarnaah is one of the twelve Zodiacal Kings of Liber Scientiae, Auxilii et Victoriae Terrestris, John Dee's tabulation of the angelic material he received with Edward Kelley in 1584 and 1585. Alongside the thirty Aethyrs and their ninety-one Governors, or Parts of the Earth, the manuscript names twelve Kings, one for each tribe of Israel, and divides the ninety-one Parts among them. Zarnaah governs the tribe of Manasseh and, at eight Parts, holds one of the larger shares.
Zarnaah's Parts run from the second Aethyr to the thirtieth: Doagnis, opening ARN, the second Aethyr, assigned to Cappadocia; Opmacas, opening DEO, the seventh, assigned to Getulia in North Africa; Ronoomb, opening TOR, the twenty-third, assigned to Gebal, the Phoenician city the Greeks called Byblos; Orcanir, opening NIA, the twenty-fourth, assigned to Media; Mirzind, opening UTI, the twenty-fifth, assigned to the people of Serica, the classical name for parts of China; Mathula, in ZAA, the twenty-seventh, assigned to Babylon; Odraxti, in RII, the twenty-ninth, assigned to Africa taken as a whole; and Gemnimb, in TEX, the thirtieth and innermost Aethyr, assigned to Phrygia.
As with every King, the zodiac sign now given for Zarnaah is a later reconstruction laid over the tribe Dee's manuscript actually names, since the angelic material assigns no sign directly and more than one reconstruction now circulates. Zarnaah is distinct from the seven Kings of the Heptarchia, the separate weekday system of De Heptarchia Mystica.
