Downtown Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) congregation built in 1851 to a design by architect William Strickland, also architect of the Tennessee State Capitol. It is one of the largest and best-preserved examples of Egyptian Revival architecture in the United States, with an interior painted in 1882 to evoke an Egyptian temple, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1993. The church continues regular worship in downtown Nashville alongside guided sanctuary tours.
