Ahmad al-Muhajir, also known as al-Imam Ahmad ibn Isa, was an Islamic scholar who lived from about 873 to 956 and founded the Ba Alawi sada, a lineage instrumental in spreading Islam to India, Southeast Asia and Africa. He was a fifth generation descendant of Ali and Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad, through his great great grandfather Imam Jafar al-Sadiq, and was a known acquaintance of the ascetic Bishr al-Hafi.
