Nilus the Elder of Sinai, also known as Neilos, Nilus of Ancyra and Nil Postnik, meaning the Faster, was a Christian ascetic and writer who lived from about 365 to 430 or 451. He was one of the many disciples and steadfast defenders of John Chrysostom.
