Raffig Tullou

Raffig Tullou, born Raphaël Jean-Baptiste Joseph Tulou and also known as Neven Lewarc'h (6 January 1909 to 16 January 1990), was a Breton sculptor and set designer whose work included modern Celto-Breton furnishing art, wood and stone carvings, and the restoration of historical buildings. A member of the Breton artistic movement Seiz Breur, he turned to druidic studies in the 1930s and in 1936, with Morvan Marchal and Francis Bayer du Kern, founded Kredenn Geltiek Hollvedel, Worldwide Celtic Beliefs, along with a journal on druidic studies and philosophy that eventually became known as Ialon-Kad-Nemeton. During the Second World War he wrote for L'Heure Bretonne, the newspaper of the Breton National Party, and in 1944 became the last Secretary General of the Seiz Breur movement; after the war he founded Koun Breizh in 1954 to promote Breton artistic heritage.
