Stephen Anthony McNallen is an American proponent of Heathenry, a modern Pagan new religious movement, and a white nationalist activist. He founded the Viking Brotherhood in 1969 to 1970, transformed it into the Asatru Free Assembly, and later founded the Asatru Folk Assembly, which he led from 1994 until 2016; he espoused a belief he called metagenetics, holding that Heathenry was suitable only for those of Northern European ancestry, and he is regarded as a controversial figure within the Heathen and wider Pagan community over this stance.
