Origin from 1997
Anastasianism, also known as the Ringing Cedars movement, is a new religious movement that started in central Russia in 1997 and has since spread across the world. It is based on a series of ten books entitled The Ringing Cedars of Russia, written by Vladimir Megre, whose teachings are attributed to a woman named Anastasia whom Megre said he met in the Siberian taiga.
