Occurred in says that a documented spread event took place in a particular country, region, continent or city, such as Buddhism Reaches China occurred in China. Where a source's own place, a corridor or a broad region, has no single clean match, the edge anchors to the nearest real place and the event's own description names the approximation rather than letting the edge round it silently. Spread events here reads the inverse: the documented spread episodes attested in a place, grouped on that place's own page.
