Reach of Its Authority
The whole tradition, or a claim to it 1
Sourced to the subject's own accountThe Shinbashira's authority runs administratively across the whole of Tenrikyo, every affiliated church and minister worldwide, from the headquarters at Tenri, which is a different kind of standing from the Jiba itself: the Jiba is the fixed sacred point the whole religion orients toward, while the Shinbashira is the office that governs the organisation built around it, and the two are not the same source of authority even though both sit at Tenri.
