A commemorative gilt bronze medallion titled "Pope St. Pius V.," struck in Italy in 1712, the year of his canonization, showing him in profile. The inscription gives his birth name, Michele Ghisleri, his birth year 1504, his papal reign from 1566 to 1572, and his death in 1572. Held today by the Metropolitan Museum of Art's European Sculpture and Decorative Arts department under accession 09.194.26.
