A small faience falcon amulet, 26th to 30th Dynasty, 664 to 334 BCE, Egyptian culture, naming the sun god in his syncretic form Ra Horakhty, Ra united with Horus of the Two Horizons, worn as personal protection under the god's solar and falcon aspect. The Metropolitan Museum's own title names the god directly. Held today by the Metropolitan Museum of Art under accession 74.51.4497, from the Cesnola Collection, purchased by subscription 1874 to 76.
