An engraving titled "Simeon," one plate of the series "The Twelve Sons of Jacob," by Jacques de Gheyn II, 1584 to 1594, after Karel van Mander I, giving each of Jacob's twelve sons his own named plate. Simeon was Jacob and Leah's second son, who with Levi took revenge on Shechem for the violation of their sister Dinah. Held today by the Metropolitan Museum of Art under accession 49.95.1801.
