Al-Tibb al-Nabawi, or Prophetic Medicine, is a primary religious text, compiled by the fourteenth century scholar Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya as part of his larger work Zad al-Ma'ad, before his death in 1350. Its strength is that it is the tradition's own record of medical material attributed to the Prophet, useful for what that tradition claims. Its limit, and the atlas is explicit about it, is that it carries no modern medical authority: it is cited only for what the tradition claims, never as evidence for the efficacy of any remedy it describes.

Al-Tibb al-Nabawi, Prophetic Medicine, compiled by the fourteenth century scholar Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya as part of his larger work Zad al-Ma'ad before his death in 1350, the lower tier reflecting that it carries no modern medical authority and is cited only for what the tradition claims, never as evidence for the efficacy of any remedy it describes, notwithstanding that as the tradition's own record of medical material attributed to the Prophet it is genuinely useful for what that tradition claims.
