An Autobiography, or The Story of My Experiments with Truth

M. K. Gandhi's own autobiography, An Autobiography, or The Story of My Experiments with Truth, Navajivan Publishing House, is a primary text written serially in Gujarati and later issued in English translation; the atlas records no single publication year here because the serial installments and the bound volume editions carry different dates. Its strength is that it is Gandhi's own first person account of his own moral and spiritual development, in his own words. Its limit is the ordinary one for any autobiography: it is one person's own retrospective account of himself, shaped by what he chose to include and how he chose to frame it.
