Section H7 (Statement on Human Sexuality) and Section H2 (Statement on Marriage, Divorce, Remarriage) of the Manual of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, 2015 Edition, the United States denomination's own governing document, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, reproduced verbatim in a packet an Alliance-affiliated local congregation posts for its own members. States sexual desire is rightfully fulfilled only within the lifelong union of a man and a woman, that homosexual conduct is contrary to Scripture, and that the church does not welcome into its membership any person who willfully refuses to turn away from a sexual relationship outside marriage. States marriage is a monogamous, lifelong union, that Section H2 was adopted as an instructional statement by the 1977 General Council in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, that divorce is permitted only for fornication including adultery or for desertion by an unbelieving spouse, and that remarriage is permitted to the party innocent of adultery and to a widowed spouse, while denied to the party at fault and to remarriage sought on grounds of desertion alone.
