Michael Ventris and John Chadwick's Documents in Mycenaean Greek, second edition, Cambridge University Press, 1973, is a scholarly critical edition. Its strength is that it is the foundational published edition of the deciphered Linear B tablets, built directly on Ventris's own decipherment of the script. Its limit is the ordinary one for a critical edition of fragmentary ancient administrative texts: individual readings remain subject to revision as new tablets and better imaging techniques become available.
