Epigraphia Indica, the official epigraphic journal of the Archaeological Survey of India, published the Aihole inscription of Pulikesin II in its sixth volume, dating it Saka-Samvat 556, corresponding to 634 to 635 CE, and recording its text as a nineteen line Sanskrit eulogy composed by the Jain poet Ravikirti at the Jinendra temple, now known as the Meguti temple, that he had built at Aihole. A photographic record of the inscription copied from this volume is preserved today by the Indian Culture portal of India's Ministry of Culture.
