Ma'u Henua's own website is the primary self account of the Comunidad Indigena Polinesica Ma'u Henua, the Rapa Nui indigenous community body that has administered Rapa Nui National Park on Easter Island since the Chilean government transferred full administration to it in 2017. Its authority is that of the body's own statement of its role and its relationship to the island's heritage, which is exactly the kind of claim a community's own account is the right source for. It is not an independent archaeological or historical study of Rapa Nui, and a claim of that kind needs a separate scholarly source.
