Church Newsroom and Deseret News Records for Meet the Mormons

Two records held together: the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' own Newsroom article "Meet the Mormons Movie," stating the film "is a feature-length documentary film produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that will be released in select theaters on 10 October 2014," describing it as an opportunity to "meet, in a very personal way," Church members, and noting net theatrical proceeds were donated to charity; and Deseret News (owned by the Church's own Deseret Management Corporation), confirming the film was written and directed by Blair Treu and produced by Jeff Roberts, naming the six featured subjects (a retired Air Force colonel, a Naval Academy football coach, an engineer-humanitarian, a kickboxer, a bishop and a single mother) and quoting producer Jeff Roberts: "The film conveys the Mormon faith, in terms of the impact it has on the lives of its members... It is not preaching in any way."
