The Warburg Institute's official review of the 2022-23 academic year, covering the conclusion of the ten-year Bilderfahrzeuge Research Project and a March 2023 two-day conference, Disincarnate: Art Histories of Nationhood Past, Present, and Future. Marks the final Director's Seminar held in the Institute's original Warburg Lecture Room, delivered by project director Andreas Beyer, at the end of the room's 65-year run before its retirement. Director Bill Sherman, Professor of Cultural History at the University of London, has led the Institute since 2017.
