Origin from 2023

From 26 to 28 September 2023, the ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations convened in Qufu, Shandong province, Confucius's traditional hometown, under the theme Common Values of All Humanity and a Global Community of Shared Future. More than sixteen hundred scholars from countries including the United States and South Korea took part across thirteen sub forums. At the forum's own sub forum on world Confucianism studies, Yang Jinwei, deputy head of the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, announced a report documenting the development of Confucianism worldwide over the preceding decade, co-produced by the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, Shandong University and the Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies. American Confucian scholar Roger T. Ames addressed the wider forum on engaging cultural diversity through harmony without uniformity.
