Norse Pagan Festivals

Reconstructed festivals of pre-Christian Norse religion, the ancestor-veneration Disablot, the winter-onset marker Vetrnaetr and the midwinter Yule blot, unrelated to the modern Wiccan sabbat of the same name filed separately, known chiefly from medieval Icelandic sagas and skaldic poetry written down after Christianization. How faithfully those later Christian-era texts preserve earlier pagan practice is disputed among historians of the period.
