The first six Shem Angels in the traditional order, Vehuiah, Jeliel, Sitael, Elemiah, Mahasiah and Lelahel, under the zodiacal quinance division of the Shemhamphorasch: each angel rules a five degree arc of the thirty degree sign, two arcs to a decan. This division is one contested tradition among several; other sources group these same seventy two names by Sephirah or by angelic choir instead, and the atlas records this scheme, sourced to S.L. MacGregor Mathers and the Golden Dawn correspondence tables, as one reading rather than the settled one. Belongs here: an angel whose position in the canonical seventy two name order falls first through sixth. Does not belong here: any angel from the following eleven signs, or a different angelic entity such as an archangel or choir member, which this atlas holds in a separate category.
