Juxtaposition Cross of Formulization (4/49)

The Juxtaposition Cross of Formulization is named for Gate 4 and Gate 49. Human Design reads Gate 4, from Hexagram 4, Youthful Folly, as the mental urge to supply answers, formulas and possible solutions to questions that are still open, and Gate 49, from Hexagram 49, Revolution, as the sense of what is acceptable, deciding whether an arrangement continues or is broken off. Juxtaposition Crosses are set apart from the Right Angle and Left Angle families, reserved for the four line one profile, and read as fixed almost past the point of alternative.

Its design half is Gate 8 and Gate 14. Gate 8 sits in the Throat and is read as the urge to contribute an individual style and to stand publicly behind something that matters; elsewhere it pairs with Gate 1 in the channel of Inspiration. Gate 14 sits in the Sacral centre and is read as skilled power, the fuel that directs resources and effort toward work that feels worth doing; it pairs with Gate 2 in the channel of The Beat.

So a chart carrying this cross answers a mind that keeps proposing formulas, Gate 4, to a Solar Plexus judgment of what is acceptable, Gate 49, while beneath both an individual contribution meets the sacral fuel to carry it out. The hexagrams are ancient; grouping them into one incarnation cross is the modern system's own construction.
