Left Angle Cross of Healing (25/46)

The Left Angle Cross of Healing carries the same pair as the earlier Cross of Healing with sun and earth exchanged, Gate 25 and Gate 46, both seated in the G, or Identity, centre. Human Design reads Gate 25, from Hexagram 25, Innocence, as an innocence that places universal love above particular attachment, now the more exposed gate; and Gate 46, from Hexagram 46, Pushing Upward, as a love of the body and a knack for arriving in the right place at the right time. It falls in the Left Angle family, which practitioners read as fated in flavour, serving something beyond the individual rather than a self chosen plan.

Its design half is Gate 58 and Gate 52, also exchanged, both in the Root. Gate 58 is read as vitality and the joy of being alive, expressed as an urge to improve whatever is at hand; it pairs with Gate 18 in the channel of Judgement. Gate 52 is read as a stillness that concentrates rather than releases, holding a person still long enough for perspective to form; it pairs with Gate 9 in the channel of Concentration.

Putting impersonal innocence ahead of bodily love changes what this cross puts forward first, while the same Root pair of vitality and stillness sits beneath it regardless of order. The numbers are inherited from the I Ching; reading them as one cross belongs to the modern reading, not the classical one.

This Left Angle Cross of Healing completes its two role arrangements with this ordering, Gate 25 and Gate 46 exposed, an impersonal innocence ahead of a love of the body. What it does not trace is where the four gates sit on the wheel itself, the Human Design mandala's division of its sixty four gates into four Quarters, and by that measure this ordering draws one gate from each of the four.

Gate 46, its personality partner, falls in the Quarter of Duality, purpose fulfilled through bonding. So the impersonal innocence and the love of the body the first article reads on this ordering's surface answer to the arcs of mind and bonding, while a vitality that wants to improve and a concentrating stillness beneath them answer to the arcs of transformation and form, the same four arcs the earlier ordering of Healing also draws on however its two pairs are assigned to personality and design. With both arrangements in place, Healing's two gate pairs share the same wheel wide spread, one gate from each Quarter regardless of order.
