This article records tradition as it has been passed down and reported. Its sources are not yet part of the atlas's verified catalogue.
This Right Angle Cross of Laws is named for Gate 60 and Gate 56 rather than Gate 56 and Gate 60, accepted limitation exposed ahead of the storyteller's stimulation. Its first article reads Gate 60 as the acceptance of limitation as the ground real change grows from, and Gate 56 as the one who stimulates others with ideas drawn from experience. What it does not trace is where the four gates sit on the wheel itself, the Human Design mandala's division of its sixty four gates into four Quarters, and by that measure this ordering draws one gate from each of the four.
Gate 60, the personality gate here, falls in the Quarter of Mutation, purpose fulfilled through transformation. Gate 56, its personality partner, falls in the Quarter of Civilization, purpose fulfilled through form. Behind them, Gate 50 falls in the Quarter of Duality, purpose fulfilled through bonding, and Gate 3 falls in the Quarter of Initiation, purpose fulfilled through mind.
So the accepted limitation and the storyteller's stimulation the first article reads on this ordering's surface answer to the arcs of transformation and form, while the guarded responsibility and the pressure to begin beneath them answer to the arcs of bonding and mind, the same four arcs the rest of the Laws family draws on however its two pairs are assigned and ordered. Reversing which gate carries the Sun changes what this variant puts forward, but not which Quarters supply its four gates.
