An orchestral setting of the Eddic poem Hrafnagaldur Odins (Odin's Raven Magic), a collaboration between the band Sigur Ros, composer and musicologist Hilmar Orn Hilmarsson, kvaedi reciter Steindor Andersen, sculptor Pall Gudmundsson and violinist Maria Huld Markan Sigfusdottir. The poem, part of the wider Eddic corpus, recounts a great banquet held by the gods in Valhalla at which ominous signs foretell the end of the worlds of gods and men, and the work's two ravens, sent out by Odin to bring back news, give the piece its title. It premiered at the Barbican Centre in London on 21 April 2002 and at the Reykjavik Arts Festival on 24 May 2002, and was officially released in 2020 on Sigur Ros's own Krunk Records label, recorded from a 2004 performance in Paris.
