Herbs

The largest grouping in Plants, and the working default for any plant whose use lies in preparation: burned, brewed, infused, bound, strewn or carried. It deliberately gathers culinary, medicinal and magical herbs on one shelf, because the same plant routinely crosses all three uses depending on who is handling it and why. Where a plant is valued instead for its bloom, the part below ground or the standing wood, it will be found under Flowers, Roots or Trees.
