Divinity Atlas Directory Prose, First Edition Category Descriptions

Like the atlas's long form article register, this is an internal source rather than outside scholarship: the first edition's own collection of the descriptions that introduce a category, a section band or a subcategory in its browsing directory, carried into this edition largely unchanged. It establishes only what the atlas itself says a grouping contains and why it is organized the way it is, and it is cited rather than left silent because even an editorial, structural sentence owes a reader an answer to who is speaking. It sits at the top of the reliability scale for that narrow purpose, recording the atlas's own words accurately, not because it is independent evidence about any religion or tradition a category happens to gather. Any claim about a tradition that appears inside one of these descriptions rests on whatever that description itself names as its source, never on this record alone.
