Leviathan stands for envy in this classification, an unusual choice among the seven because Leviathan is a sea monster in its biblical origin, described in Job and the Psalms as a creature of chaos rather than a spirit with any clear vice already attached to it. Binsfeld's scheme reassigns an older figure of raw destructive power to a specific interior sin, a repurposing more visible here than in demons such as Mammon whose name already meant something adjacent to their assigned fault.
