Paramita Virtues holds the perfections of Mahayana Buddhism, qualities a bodhisattva cultivates across a long path toward awakening rather than a fixed moral code applied in the present. The six recorded here, generosity, ethical conduct, patience, diligence, meditative concentration and wisdom, are sometimes extended to a list of ten in other Buddhist sources, so the six gathered in this category reflect one common counting rather than the only one Buddhist tradition recognizes.
